TikTok comment replies
The reply thread under one comment.
TikTok nests exactly one level, so replies never have replies of their own.
Paging caveat, verified live: the platform reply cursor is off by one, page
2 repeats the last reply of page 1, so walking a thread yields duplicates
(and can skip the final reply). The cursor is passed through unchanged
rather than adjusted, because nudging it would risk dropping replies
silently. De-duplicate on comment_id, and use total to see the real
thread size. Requesting a page large enough to hold the whole thread in one
call avoids the issue entirely.
The example response below is real output from this endpoint, not an illustration. Long lists and long strings are shortened to keep the page readable, and each place that happens is marked. This example took 0.9s.
